Schedule/Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-3:00 PM
Pay: $27.00-$28.50 per hour

Job Summary

The Class B CDL Driver delivers pipe, valves, fittings, and related materials using Class B commercial vehicles while providing professional customer service. The role is approximately 70% driving and 30% warehouse work, including picking and packing orders, receiving materials, stocking inventory, and assisting with material handling. The position requires safe vehicle operation, proper material securement, compliance with DOT requirements, and the ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate Class B commercial vehicles, including F250 pickups, F550 flatbeds, and International flatbed trucks with automatic transmissions.
• Deliver pipe, valves, fittings, and other materials according to scheduled delivery times.
• Drive delivery routes within approximately two hours of the assigned work location.
• Validate directions and communicate with supervisors throughout the workday.
• Safely load, secure, transport, and unload materials while complying with vehicle weight limits.
• Deliver materials and obtain required customer signatures on delivery documentation.
• Pick up customer returns and verify that returned products match the applicable credit request.
• Pick up local customer orders and return required documentation to the warehouse.
• Verify that all delivered materials have been unloaded and placed at the designated delivery location.
• Review completed deliveries with supervisors for accuracy and completeness.
• Return delivery documentation to the warehouse and verify that required records are complete.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Comply with applicable DOT standards and regulations.
• Fuel vehicles as needed and report vehicle defects, accidents, moving violations, or other issues to supervisors.
• Pick and pack warehouse orders.
• Receive incoming materials and place products into designated storage locations.
• Assist with warehouse operations and material handling as needed.
• Provide professional customer service and represent the organization appropriately during customer interactions.
• Follow established safety procedures, policies, and operational requirements.
• Work overtime as needed.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience operating the class of commercial vehicle assigned to the position.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience holding a commercial driver's license.
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License.
• Required state-issued non-excepted interstate self-certification designation and proof of certification.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to safely secure and handle pipe, valves, fittings, and other materials.
• Ability to interact with customers in a professional manner.
• Ability to perform required vehicle inspections and comply with DOT regulations.
• Ability to read delivery documentation and verify orders and materials.
• Ability to work effectively in both driving and warehouse environments.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Must be comfortable operating vehicles equipped with driver and vehicle monitoring cameras.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering pipe, valves, fittings, plumbing materials, construction materials, or similar products.
• Experience with flatbed delivery vehicles.
• Warehouse experience, including picking, packing, receiving, stocking, or material handling.
• Class A CDL experience is a plus.
