Your Role on the Team Position Summary: The Quality Improvement Specialist, Heart and Vascular supports clinical quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement activities across the Heart and Vascular Institute (HVI). Reporting into HVI leadership, this role oversees the abstraction, validation, and submission of clinical quality registry data, including STS and CCORP, working with internal and external abstraction resources to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting. The position analyzes clinical and operational data to develop actionable insights, dashboards, and reports; supports multidisciplinary quality improvement initiatives; coordinates HVI quality and patient safety committee activities; and collaborates with physicians, clinical leaders, and administrative teams to identify opportunities and improve outcomes. The role also supports compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements and contributes to education related to quality improvement and patient safety.
