This role supports the execution of technology assurance activities that help monitor and maintain effective controls across systems, processes, and environments. This role contributes to the automation, validation, and reporting of control performance by applying foundational knowledge of technology, risk, and compliance practices within established frameworks.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists in executing continuous control monitoring activities by following defined procedures to validate the effectiveness of technology controls and identify basic exceptions or gaps
  • Supports the collection, organization, and validation of control evidence, including assisting with automation efforts to streamline recurring assurance activities
  • Applies established standards and guidance to evaluate controls within systems, infrastructure, or processes, ensuring alignment with internal policies and external frameworks
  • Contributes to maintaining documentation of control requirements, procedures, and testing results to support audit readiness and ongoing governance efforts
  • Works with team members and cross-functional partners to address routine control issues and support remediation tracking and follow-up activities
  • Helps monitor and report on key risk indicators and control performance metrics by preparing data inputs and assisting in dashboard updates or reporting outputs
  • Participates in assurance-related projects and process improvements of limited scope, supporting the implementation of repeatable and sustainable control practices
  • Identifies straightforward inconsistencies or risks during assigned work and escalates issues as appropriate for further review
  • Follows established workflows and guidance to support the integration of assurance practices within technology delivery and operational processes

Typical Scope:

  • Applies foundational knowledge of the business and functional area gained through education or early professional experience. Exercises independent judgment in selecting and applying established methods to resolve routine problems within defined frameworks. Interprets policies and procedures and adapts them appropriately to straightforward, real world situations.
  • Follows standard practices and procedures to address problems of limited scope. Supports projects of modest complexity and demonstrates emerging expertise in a defined area. Performs assigned tasks with increasing independence while recognizing when to escalate issues.
  • Operates under general supervision. Receives guidance on objectives and priorities but determines daytoday approach and sequencing of work independently. Exercises discretion in routine decision making and contributes to the accuracy and quality of assigned deliverables.

Education & Experience:

  • Required Education: Bachelors degree in field relevant to role (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)
  • Required Experience: 0 - 2 years of relevant experience

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Foundational understanding of technology, risk, compliance, or audit concepts, typically developed through education or early professional experience
  • Familiarity with standard control frameworks (e.g., general IT controls, security, or compliance principles) and ability to apply them in structured environments
  • Ability to follow defined processes while exercising judgment to resolve routine issues and adapt guidance to practical situations
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and consistent work products
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort working with data, documentation, and structured processes
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders and clearly document work performed
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks independently while seeking guidance when needed
  • Exposure to automation, data analysis, or technology platforms is helpful but not required
  • Certification/License: N/A

Work Environment & Conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):

  • Ability to travel infrequently (less than 10% of the time)
  • Ability to remain stationary (sitting or standing) for at least 50% of time worked
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in person and via digital platforms with other employees, members, and third-party vendors
  • Capable of operating appropriate office equipment required for employee productivity, including use of keyboards
  • Possess the ability to function independently
  • Ability to lift up to a minimum of 10 lbs. (maybe more for some roles)
  • Role may require extended hours during peak periods (e.g., fiscal close, audits, etc.)

Location & Hybrid Expectations:

    • Hybrid Work Environment in Hillsboro, OR or Marlboro, MA or Chelmsford, MA

Target Compensation: $66,500 to $79,500 annually

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8a-5p
