Test Engineer

The Opportunity:

When a user tries new software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful software development-and that means rigorous testing. That's why we need you, an experienced test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible.

As a test engineer on our teams, you'll work with developers, ETL engineers, data engineers, UI engineers, and DevSecOps practitioners to evaluate custom software delivered across critical investigative, analytical, and dataprocessing systems. You'll create test plans and test cases based on user stories and system workflows. Using both automated and manual approaches, you'll generate data, execute test cases, validate behavior, and document results - ensuring defects are clearly communicated and resolved quickly.

You'll automate regression, security, and performance testing and monitor the health of complex cloudnative, distributed applications that span UI, backend, ETL pipelines, and search or indexing systems. This is an opportunity to supercharge your skills by writing test code, developing automation frameworks, and working with tools like Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, and AWS as part of enterprisescale, multienclave delivery.

You'll broaden your experience in cloud development, distributed systems, and advanced ingestion pipelines - and gain new skills in areas such as automation, cloud computing, and search-based analytics - while sharing your testing expertise with your teammates.

You Have:

• 4+ years of experience in software testing, including manual or automated, with web or backend systems

• Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and documenting defects

• Experience with test automation tools or frameworks
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and containerized environments, such as GitLab CI/CD, Docker, or Kubernetes
• Top Secret clearance

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in technical management or program management, Master's degree and 5+ years of experience in technical management or program management, or 12+ years of experience in technical management or program management in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience building automated test frameworks or reusable test libraries

• Experience testing cloudbased or ILlevel environments, such as AWS or multienclave systems

• Experience validating ETL pipelines, ingestion workflows, or search or indexing systems such as OpenSearch or Elasticsearch

• Experience with UI testing for Angular, React, or Vue.js applications

• Experience with RabbitMQ, Redis, Valkey, Kafka, or Splunk in datapipeline testing contexts

• Experience with RMF, government environments, or large testplan maintenance

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
