Associate Professor in Neuropharmacology

The Department of Pharmacology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time tenure track Investigator at the rank of Associate Professor. Responsibilities will include conducting basic or translational research on targetable disease-causing mechanisms responsible for a neurodegenerative disorder. While research is the primary expectation, this faculty member is also expected to teach and mentor graduate students, and contribute to department, school and university level committees where appropriate.

Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D. degree in a biological science and at least 8 years of postdoctoral research experience as an independent investigator. Candidates should have a publication record as corresponding author and sustainable extramural funding.

The start date is negotiable, and the position will remain open until filled.

The expected base pay range for this position is $175,000 - $195,000.

The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
