Multiple Shifts Available:

Morning - 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Afternoon - 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Night - 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Summary:
Machine Operators are responsible for maintaining quality of material being produced through continual adjustment of machine controls and run conditions. They are also responsible for safety, quality control checks, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, general housekeeping, and optimizing machinery.

Operators are responsible for all activities on their machine for their shift.

  Operate and oversee assigned machinery throughout the shift while following all plant safety procedures, JSAs, Lockout/Tagout, and 5S/housekeeping standards.

  Read and interpret production schedules, material descriptions, SAP codes, and production notes to ensure accurate production requirements.

  Set up and operate machinery using appropriate materials, computer controls, and machine settings to produce quality products at or above standard production rates.

  Maintain accurate raw material and WIP inventories, perform cycle counts, and communicate material or production issues promptly.

  Conduct machine shutdown procedures, including housekeeping and proper return of unused materials.

  Package finished goods accurately, including labeling, bagging, and proper stacking/storage of finished rolls.

  Perform routine and preventative maintenance, including scheduled shift/weekly PMs and proper use of lubricants and cleaning products.

  Perform first-piece and hourly quality inspections; measure and record production parameters and material density.

  Accurately complete all required production and quality documentation and submit records to the appropriate personnel.

  
  

Qualifications

Experience:

• Manufacturing Experience Preferred

Education Requirements:

* HS Diploma or equivalent required

Physical Requirements:
* Operators need to demonstrate mechanical aptitude and computer entry skills
* Operators need to be able to understand and follow English based instructions, schedules, and safety documentation
* Operators need to be able to read a tape measure/ruler
* Operators need to be able to stand for 10.5 hours, package rolls weighing up to 30 lbs for up to 10.5 hours per day, manually lift scrap material weighing up to 30 lbs for disposal, manually lift materials onto a 4" high pallet for up to 10.5 hours per day, and operate a powered forklift to retrieve and return raw materials and finished goods

WORK ENVIRONMENT/DYNAMICS:
* Operators must wear all appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to include safety glasses, steel toe shoes and cut gloves at a minimum
* Operators are expected to have their timecards punched and be at their machines ready for work, five minutes prior to the start of their shift
* Operators will be working in a production facility that is not air-conditioned, temperatures may seasonally exceed 90 degrees
