Job Title: Material Handler, Senior
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
Duration: 6 months
Location: San Diego CA 92121 Job Summary: Assist with warehouse order picking, material requests, stocking, and inventory movement for various programs and external customers. Operate a forklift to pick, move, and put away materials. Perform packing, boxing, and inventory transactions using automated computer systems while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
Operate a forklift for order picking, material movement, and stocking.
Handle warehouse inventory, including receiving, shipping, pulling, and storing materials.
Pick, pack, and box devices and materials for internal programs and external customers.
Transfer inventory physically and update transactions in computer systems.
Maintain accurate inventory records and follow warehouse procedures.
Use hand trucks, pickers, and other material-handling equipment.
Manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy under pressure.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous hands-on forklift operating experience is mandatory; material-handling experience alone is not sufficient.
Previous forklift certification preferred/required as applicable.
2-3 years of material handling or warehouse experience.
Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or warehousing.
Computer skills related to warehouse, shipping, receiving, or inventory systems.
Good driving record.
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lift approximately 25-50 lbs occasionally and stand or sit for up to 8 hours per day.
Strong attention to detail, organization, multitasking, and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Oracle, AIMS, MRW, QPI, or Agile.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience using warehouse equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, and pickers.
