About the Role

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Senior Specialist to join our team at our Los Angeles, CA location. As an Accounts Payable Senior Specialist, you will be accountable for ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant execution of vendor payments and company disbursements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining strong vendor relationships, supporting cash flow management, safeguarding financial controls, and ensuring payment activities are processed efficiently through SAP and banking platforms.

This role requires you to be onsite in Los Angeles, CA four days per week, giving you hands-on collaboration with the team and daily exposure to the pulse of the business.

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $21.00 - $29.00

Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)

• Execute vendor payment runs and disbursement activities to ensure accurate and timely payments.
• Manage payment processing across ACH, wire, electronic, and check payment methods.
• Validate payment proposals, vendor banking information, and payment terms to maintain financial accuracy and controls.
• Monitor payment transmissions, banking activity, and payment status to ensure successful execution.
• Resolve payment exceptions, rejected transactions, reversals, stop payments, and outstanding check issues.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Procurement, vendors, and internal stakeholders to address inquiries and improve payment processes.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, audit requirements, tax regulations, and internal financial controls.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, payment processing, treasury operations, financial operations, or a related field.
• Experience processing high-volume vendor payments with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of ACH, wire transfers, electronic payments, and check processing.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Accounts Payable and payment processing functions.
• Experience working with banking platforms, Positive Pay, and electronic payment systems.
• Knowledge of 1099 reporting requirements and payment compliance processes.
• Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives within Accounts Payable or Financial Operations.
