Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong report development and data analysis skills to support mainframe reporting and data extraction initiatives. The role involves gathering and documenting business requirements, analyzing data issues, developing reports, documenting data flows, and publishing data through open data portals or websites.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Power BI, Snowflake, business process analysis, user acceptance testing, and data publishing. Experience in the Oil and Gas industry is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform senior-level business analysis for complex technology, hardware, and software implementation projects related to reporting and data extraction.
• Gather, analyze, develop, and document business requirements using appropriate methodologies.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to design effective technical solutions.
• Review, assess, and improve business processes to support reporting and data management initiatives.
• Conduct data analysis and root cause analysis to identify and resolve data errors.
• Document data flows, data dependencies, and reporting processes.
• Develop, maintain, and validate reports using Power BI and other relevant reporting tools.
• Support data extraction and reporting initiatives involving mainframe systems.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing, including test planning, execution, validation, and issue resolution.
• Support user training and implementation-related activities.
• Publish and maintain data on open data portals and organizational websites.
• Ensure deliverables and documentation meet established quality standards, processes, and business analysis methodologies.
• Conduct research and provide support for special projects.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment in resolving complex business and data-related issues.
• Provide guidance and coordination to other team members as required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience demonstrating strong interpersonal, collaboration, analytical, written, verbal, and presentation communication skills in English.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience gathering business requirements and creating reports.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience facilitating business requirements analysis and collaborating with business stakeholders to design technical solutions.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting business stakeholders with user acceptance testing, training, and implementation-related activities.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Snowflake and Power BI.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
• Experience working with Oil and Gas business systems and data.
• Experience with mainframe reporting, data extraction, and data publishing.
• Familiarity with open data portals and website-based data publication.

Work Arrangement

• Work location: Remote.
• Expected contract period: November 9, 2026, through August 31, 2027.
• Potential for three one-year renewals, subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
• May require occasional work outside normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• The candidate must have a suitable desktop or laptop computer and headset for remote connectivity, unless equipment is provided.
• Any required travel must be authorized in advance.
