Electrical Engineering Design PE

Job Summary: Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design of electrical systems for facilities / laboratories for Government, University, and private clients.
• Provide conceptual / detailed design and analysis for facility power distribution (600V), emergency power generation, grounding and lightning protection, lighting design, telecommunications (voice/data), fire alarm / mass notification, security, access control, and special systems.
• Provide supporting documentation such as calculations, reports, and specifications.
• This individual is expected to possess extensive knowledge on electrical regulatory codes.
• Candidate will work with designers in order for them to produce final designs of the facility.

Qualifications:

* Eight (8) years of experience in facility Electrical Engineering design

* Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required

* Familiar with REVIT/AutoCAD or other design software-based drawing generation

* Experience using electrical calculation tools is desired, including lighting and power software such as AGi32, Elum Tools, SKM Power Tools, ETAP, and EasyPower.

* Proficient using Microsoft Office Excel & Word

* Experience with technical codes such as NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEEE is required

* Experience with USDA, ARS, CDC and other laboratory clients is highly desired

* Must be a U.S. Citizen
