JOB TITLE: Weaver JOB CLASSIFICATION: Senior Machine Operator REPORTS TO: Production Manager PURPOSE: The weaver makes sure assigned waterjet weaving machines run efficiently with minimal defects. 4) Flashlight 5) Computer 6) Dye Resist Marker 7) Pouch 8) Filling Packs 9) BARCO 10) Ear Plugs and Muffs 11) Slip-Resistant Shoes 12) Reed Hook 13) Stop Card 14) Writing Utensil 15) Leno Hook AUTHORIZED TRAINING TIME: 8 Weeks for Certification PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: FREQUENCY, AMOUNT, OR DESCRIPTION Standing: Approx. 11 hours/day spent monitoring and operating weave machines Sitting: Break time (75 mins/day) Moving: Continuous from machine to machine 11 hrs./day Lifting: To locate filling packages to creel (1-18lbs.) 300 times/day. Climbing: To reach walk boards on approximately 100 machines continuously/6 inches high. Push/Pull/Reach: Reaching over harnesses to repair warp breaks. To get packages off filling trees. When working on back of machine to reduce mat up. Distance =3 feet. Bending: To repair warp stops. Visual Acuity: Must be able to see defects in fabric. Other: Must comply with the Company rules, including but not limited to Safety, Attendance, and other job specifications. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a manufacturing facility. This position regularly works around moving mechanical parts and powered industrial vehicles. Noise level is generally loud.
