POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The incumbent lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and maintains electrical systems and related equipment for assigned projects.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Reviews blueprints and specifications to determine work sequence and procedures to complete all contracted work through the development of a schedule.
  • Plans and installs wiring for pump motors, air handling systems, compressors, HVAC systems, chillers, generators, appliances, and other machinery.
  • Plans, installs, and services temporary power to various crews during the early stages of projects.
  • Installs conduit systems for power distribution, branch circuits, lighting, and other electrical systems.
  • Plans and installs lighting systems and/or individual fixtures throughout given projects.
  • Pulls all home run wires that run inside/outside slabs with pullers or coordinates for manual pulling.
  • Tests circuits for compatibility, integrity, and isolation of current as needed.
  • Checks delivered fabricated equipment for QA/QC accuracy.
  • Uses hand tools to make any alterations for installed equipment to ensure per spec installation.
  • Hangs thread to steel supports from ceiling joists or concrete slabs to support electrical trays.
  • Installs, terminates, and bends all different types of conduit and gauge of wires.
  • Completes as-built drawings for all completed work and all remodels as required by contract.
  • Facilitates knowledge transfer and teaches trade skills to less experienced tradespeople.
  • Fabricates or alters parts at construction sites as needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:



  • This position operates primarily in the field. Jobsite work is likely to entail varying exposure to weather, potentially harmful materials or chemicals, fumes, odors, noise, dangerous machinery, and/or other conditions typically associated with a live construction site.

TRAVEL:



  • This position may require up to 15% travel.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:



  • 4-6 years of mechanical contracting experience.
  • Must be construction-document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office and Google products.
  • Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) with diverse audiences.
  • Capacity to leverage leadership skills to facilitate learning, teamwork, and collaborative relationships.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have a driving record compliant with the Company's policies and MVR requirements, and consent to ongoing driving record monitoring by the Company.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Completed OSHA 30-Hour Training.
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certification.
