Three years of experience in Millwright work or a two-year Technical Degree in Industrial Maintenance or a related field. Job Duties:
- Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems, equipment,
and components on all plant production machinery and equipment, following technical manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications. - Observe mechanical equipment in operation to locate causes
of trouble and develop plan for repairs. - Adjust and align machinery and equipment using hand tools,
levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. Start and operate production equipment to test performance after repairs and alignment processes have been completed. - Perform all mechanical preventative and predictive
maintenance duties on associated mill equipment. - Cut, weld, and perform fabrication work with different types
of metals using various metal working processes. Assess required repairs for equipment failures and estimate time frames to complete. - Identify mechanical and hydraulic problems and assist in
making necessary repairs. - Identify and change shafts, sprockets, bearings, chains, and
belts as required to maintain production equipment in operation. - Communicate directly and professionally with operators about
how equipment is running to learn about any problems. - Communicate effectively and professionally with the Planning
and Scheduling Departments to ensure all required maintenance and repairs are completed as required. - Submit work requests, order required parts and supplies, and
close work orders to include actions taken, all parts used and man hours consumed. - Comply with and participate in corporate wide safety
programs, including but not limited to PPE and lock-out requirements.
