JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Communications and Convergence Division of the Applied Research Laboratory(ARL) is seeking undergraduate students to support general laboratory prototyping and code development.

Typical duties may include:

  • circuit fabrication
  • system integration and testing tasks
  • general laboratory maintenance
  • various routine tasks.

ARL is an authorized DoD SkillBridge partner and welcomes all transitioning military members to apply.

Students studying Electrical Engineering are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will work up to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters and 40 hours per week over the summer. This is a paid internship located at ARL's Main Laboratory at the University Park campus; relocation and housing are not provided.

Candidate selected may be subject to a government security investigation. You must be a U.S. citizen to apply. Employment with the Applied Research Laboratory will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
