Aerospace Cadmium Plating Operator - 3rd Shift
Job Overview Title: Cadmium Plating Operator Reports to: Production Managers (Value Stream or Shift) Location: Kent, WA Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt (hourly) Schedule: 3rd Shift; Train on 1st Shift for 3 - 6 months. Hytek production is open 24 hours per day. All shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.), 2nd shift (Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.), 3rd shift (Sunday - Friday, 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.) Job Summary This is a Plating Operator trainee position in our Plating department which includes Cadmium, Chromium, Zinc Nickle, Passivate, and Titanium-Cadmium. Employees in this position will learn tasks in order to process parts specific to Cadmium Plating. As a Plating Operator Trainee, individuals learn to become a proficient Plating Operator. Plating Operators may be required to join the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program*. The Plating Operators perform operations in accordance with Military and OEM specifications. * FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requires an initial drug test including a screen for THC, subject to quarterly Drug & BAT testing. Essential Mental/Physical Demands
Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and fumes from metal finishing chemicals. Temperatures in the work environment can fluctuate with outside weather conditions. Due to the manufacturing environment, Personal Protection Equipment is required including safety glasses, goggles, aprons, rubber boots, gloves, and respirator (provided by Company). Due to current COVID precautions, face masks are required. Salary Range for position: $16.28 - $45.00 per hour. Hourly rate is dependent upon experience and highest level of education achieved. Average starting range for entry level is generally $18.50 for Process Support 1 Assistants, Packagers, and Maskers; and up to $21.00 per hour as a Process Support 2 for Operator Trainees.
