Scope of the position: The Graduate Medical Education Office is part of the Medical Directors office and is responsible for institutional oversight to assure all GME training programs meet accreditation requirements and work with all academic departments and medical specialties regarding graduate medical education. Position Summary: Serves as an Institutional Coordinator who will actively participate in the planning, implementation, and coordination of educational activities in the Graduate Medical Education (GME) office, which administers the activities of all GME training programs, consisting of 950+ physician trainees and 150 residency and fellowship programs. Serves as a liaison: between program director and residents, between program director and chief residents, between residents and faculty, between program director and program coordinators, organizations inquiring about education programs, and institutional GME personnel. Assists program director with daily functions of the GME office. Coordinate and schedule program internal accreditation reviews, manage documentation and correspondence regarding accreditation for the institution and training programs. Oversee preparation of agendas for all meetings; update information and compile statistics; assist with documentation and preparation of accreditation; and maintain and collect policies and documents for program files. Minimum Education Required Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous knowledge and experience with graduate medical education desired. Experience in planning and administration preferably in an academic setting. Demonstrate proficiencies in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent customer service skills and ability to organize and prioritize duties. Willingness to learn new skills and work independently with minimal supervision. |
