JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State University Health Services in Student Affairs is searching for an Emergency Medical Technician to join their team. Duties include:
Job Requirements: Requires the use of commercial English, grammar and arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, including decimals and fractions; simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams, together with the use of adjustable measuring instruments, graduates and the like requiring interpretation in their various applications; or the posting, preparation, interpretation, use and checking of reports, forms, records and comparable data. Requires current Pennsylvania Emergency Medical Technician Certification, current CPR certification, current EMS Vehicle Operator (EMSVO), a valid Driver's License, and respiratory mask fit testing. Must complete Incident Command System (ICS) 100, 200, and 700 courses, as well as HAZMAT Awareness Training within 30 days of hire. Over 6 months up to and including 12 months of effective experience; must have 1,040 hours of prior 911 experience. Work Schedule:7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Days Off:Rotating NOTE: THIS POSITION REQUIRES THAT YOU OPERATE A MOTOR VEHICLE AS A PART OF YOUR JOB DUTIES. A VALID DRIVER`S LICENSE AND SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE RECORDS CHECK WILL BE REQUIRED IN ADDITION TO STANDARD BACKGROUND CHECKS. NOTE: EMPLOYEE MUST BE ABLE TO WEAR A RESPIRATOR AND WILL BE SUBJECT TO MEDICAL CLEARANCE. NOTE: THIS POSITION REQUIRES THE FOLLOWING CLEARANCES: PA STATE POLICE CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK, PA CHILD ABUSE HISTORY CLEARANCE FORM, AND FEDERAL (FBI) FINGERPRINT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK.
