Sales Representative (Food Industry Exp Required)

FlexStaff is seeking a Sales Representative for our client, a Nassau County based food importer. This position is full-time, hybrid (3 days/week in the office).

*Sales in the wholesale food industry required*

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Conduct outside sales activities within assigned territory to meet sales targets
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing customers as well as growing our customer base
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Utilize CRM software to track sales activities and manage customer accounts
  • Provide technical sales support and product information to customers
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify potential sales strategies and assist purchasing team with buying forecast
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts with customers and prepare and assist with bids
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues that may arise


REQUIREMENTS



  • Proven experience in outside sales in the food industry is required
  • Strong sales skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to multi-task and translate creative ideas into action with a clear ROI.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast paced environment and able to meet deadlines, stay focused, be self-motivated and show integrity
  • Excellent account management and customer service skills
  • Ability to analyze market data and identify sales opportunities, must be a critical thinker
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
